How familiar are Irish farmers with the terms “carbon farming” and “bioeconomy”? What sustainable actions are farmers already applying? What do the agri-advisors think is needed in terms of farmer capabilities and capacities? What are the perspectives from agri-corporates?

If these questions interest you, join us for this 60 minute lunch webinar to learn more!

This webinar will highlight some of the key insights obtained from our recently published report “An analysis of capability and capacity needs of stakeholders in the transition to a net-zero and resilient land and agri-food system in Ireland“, published in April 2024. The report provides a snapshot of the key capacity and capability needs and perspectives across multipe stakeholders from the Irish land-agri food system, including farmers, agri-advisors, and agri-corporate and research representatives. Though the report was published initially to help inform EIT Climate KIC’s Deep Demonstration programme design, there are a number of useful insights that may be of interest to the broader Deep Demonstration stakeholders and general public.

Stephen Coen (General Manager at FARMEYE) will be presenting the report and respective findings, and the webinar will be hosted by Tessa Finch (Designer & Producer Strategic Foresight, EIT Climate KIC).

This work is the result of a collaboration between EIT Climate-KIC and FARMEYE. We would like to acknowledge and thank all participants that contributed their time and ideas to the report.
