EIT Climate-KIC, IDB Lab, and the Clean Technology Fund have partnered to advance climate innovation in Latin America & the Caribbean (LAC). This collaboration sets a pathway towards inclusive, sustainable growth, resonating with the goals of the Paris Agreement. The Climaccelerator programme is designed to foster LAC entrepreneurship by engaging Entrepreneurial Support Organizations (ESOs) and providing them with tailored resources. The programme aims to magnify the efforts of emerging climate-focused startups and initiatives. Services and Resources

      • Access to advanced tools to help start-ups understand and measure their GHG emissions.
      • Guidance in understanding your climate entrepreneurship ecosystem to identify new market opportunities.
      • Support in designing and implementing your Climate Acceleration Programme.
      • Assistance in expanding your strategic vision to support Climate Innovations.
      • Access to coaching and mentoring sessions to delve into your specific concerns and needs.
      • Practice-oriented workshops to enhance your knowledge and skills in running climate accelerator programmes.

Who can apply?

We invite all organizations that wish to initiate or deepen their involvement in fighting climate change by supporting start-ups focused on mitigating carbon emissions. This invitation extends to innovation agencies, incubators, accelerators, ecosystem builders, venture capital investors, co-working spaces, and hubs. Female-led Entrepreneurial Support Organisations (ESOs) are strongly encouraged to apply.

Eligible Countries: Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Guatemala, Guyana, Haiti, Honduras, Jamaica, Mexico, and Peru.

Minimum requirements:

      • Experience in entrepreneurship and entrepreneurship support of at least two years.
      • Previous experience working on, supporting, or leading accelerator programs for startups in the region.
      • Size: minimum 2 people with high dedication to the organisation
      • Working knowledge of the entrepreneurship and innovation ecosystems in their region.
      • Ability to develop and deliver analytical and audience-friendly insights.
      • Adherence to professional ethics and quality standards in evaluation.
      • Basic written and spoken English competency.
      • Legal constitution as an organization (private, public, NGO, etc.).
