Climate KIC Academy

Let’s accelerate the transition

Why partner with us?

The global shift towards a sustainable economy requires skilled leaders who can navigate the complexities of systemic change. Yet, despite 79% of business leaders acknowledging that green skills are crucial, only 55% are actively implementing or planning green skills programmes. This gap leaves a significant portion of the workforce without the necessary training, slowing progress toward a sustainable future.

Applying systems thinking to create impact

To create a positive impact at the needed pace, we need people to be able to support and create transformative systems innovations in as many spaces as possible, from policymaking and funding to education and prototyping. This requires developing competencies and establishing practices that enable us to work with others; to explore and make sense of complex, dynamic systems; and to co-create, test, and implement effective interventions

That’s where systems thinking approach comes in. It’s not just a theory; it’s a way of seeing the world, a way of understanding how interconnected pieces fit together and embracing the complex. Imagine being able to see the levers of change – the policies, the funding, even the everyday habits – and knowing how to gently nudge them in the right direction.

This mini masterclass is about empowering you to do just that.

Learning outcomes

  • Gain a deeper sense of systems and their interconnectedness.
  • Better understand your own role in a system (as a person, as part of a team, and within an organisation).
  • Be better able to envision system innovation and its potential pathways in your context of work.
  • Equip yourself with systems thinking practices that support your resilience in a complex changing world

Duration is three hours and can be delivered in person or virtually.
