Aesthetic solar power from facades
There is a growing need for energy efficient buildings with aesthetical freedom in design. We developed and patented systems that can harvest both electrical and thermal energy from facades. These systems offer architects and building owners the opportunity to design buildings that comply with stringent building regulations, have low energy consumption and can be designed to display the buildings character of choice.
The facade system consists of solar panels or solar thermal units with optimal orientation towards the sun for highest yield. These solar panels are combined with decorative materials in a wide range of colors and materials. The combination offers an aesthetic appeal of the facade with highest yield of the solar panel. If bright or glossy decorative panels are being used, sunlight from morning, evening, spring, winter and fall will be reflected from the decorative materials onto the solar panels. This results in the highest electrical yield of the solar panels.
