Futuristic hotel features space and energy-efficient pods
INNOVATION IMPERATIVE’s Tetra Hotel design is comprised of energy-efficient timber pods, and cuts an otherworldly silhouette among natural surroundings.
The Tetra Hotel is based off of the award-winning Tetra Shed by David Ajasa-Adekunle. The shed was originally conceived in 2011 as an office unit. Now, the modular pyramid-shaped design has been extrapolated to a clustered and connected set.
The sleek, glass-heavy pods resting on elegant, narrow points would not be out of place in a science fiction film. In its conceptualisation, the hotel is contrasted by a smoky, pine-laden riverside.
Each accommodation features multiple floors connected by winding staircases; they contain an office, living room, bathroom, and bedroom. The space is filled with natural light due to a massive, angular skylight. The multi-tiered floor plan is both space and energy-efficient, and was designed with a low-carbon footprint in mind. The spacious lobby boasts floor-to-ceiling windows.
