In Valencia, the Climate-KIC Climathon will begin on the 28 October VET and finish the following day. The Challenge
In 2012, Valencia signed the Covenant of Mayors, and recently, in October 2015 Valencia reinforced its commitment supporting the reduction of GHG by 40% by 2030.
The city wants to become a reference model of energy conservation policies through public awareness and the creation and strengthening of instruments to empower existing actions addressing climate change. Recent analysis shows that the energy poverty level in the city reaches 23.58% and the whole consumption of electric energy in the city is 2.893 GWh. How could the city achieve to meet the Covenant of Mayors commitment and to improve the previous values?
