The Challenge

Climate Change is one of the biggest trends in today’s world. Businesses, livelihoods and our well being depend on our ability to adapt to this change and mitigate the risks that potentially come with it.

Especially in Wellington, a small coastal capital where climate change will have significant impacts on the way we work and play.

Understanding the challenges we face and being early to see the opportunities they present right now will give us significant advantage in both looking after our environment and people but also on the world stage in the market place.
So where is the value? How can we create sustainable, ethical businesses that both help Wellington and the world adapt and mitigate Climate Change?

Pitching to expert judges

The Climathon event will culminate in presentation of each group’s idea in front of panel members who will provide valuable feedback. The panel is comprised of different science and business experts.

The winning team will be offered a place in the Victoria Entrepreneur Bootcamp, a 12 week pre-accelerator programme designed to help you validate and develop your early stage startup. Find out more at www.vicbootcamp.co.nz
