Invest for Better EU – Circle Leaders

Invest for Better EU is a new peer-led education program aiming to empower every day individuals to invest sustainably. Based upon the successful US-based programme, Invest for Better EU is being adapted for Europe with the first programmes targeting participants in Germany, France and Poland. 

The programme is currently recruiting 30 circle leaders who will host peer groups of 8 to 20 participants starting from September 2023. Over a three-month program, each circle will cover five key topics, including:

• Introduction to investing
• Climate lens investing
• The investment industry
• Climate-related financial risks
• Greenwashing

Circle leaders will receive training, materials and support to host discussions designed to educate and empower individuals to take control of their assets. Circles will learn practical investment skills that ultimately empower them to use their money to influence things they care about. The curriculum is designed for both new and existing investors that are seeking to align their financial returns with their personal values.

Each circle is a small and trusted group of peers that aim to learn together by sharing questions, experiences and tips. The small circle approach is particularly impactful for groups that face a common challenge or systemic disadvantage when investing. Circles can be based on gender, race, socio-economic background or in fact any shared factor that ties participants together and motivates them to learn.
