Xunta de Galicia is the Regional Government of Galicia (Spain). The competent body for Climate Change issues in the region of Galicia is the Regional Ministry of Environment, Planning and Housing. Its main functions are, among others:
- Management of the Galician meteorological observation and prediction system, its diffusion and derived climate studies
- Actions related to compliance with the Paris Agreement and the management of the implementation of the greenhouse gas emission rights system
- Analysis, monitoring and elaboration of climate change action measures
- Rising awareness about Climate Change and the Agenda 2030.
