Enit Systems

Enit Systems is a spin-off company of the Fraunhofer Institute for Solar Energy Systems ISE in Freiburg. The company develops and produces customizable monitoring and control systems for decentralized energy systems to enable transparency and intelligent control.

Customers are energy intensive commercial and industrial companies as well as operators and direct marketers. The technology “OpenMUC” is a software framework that has been developed in more than five years of smart grid research at Fraunhofer ISE. It allows high-resolution readout and control of any type of energy meter, generating units and industrial loads. It can be run on cost competitive systems on a chip, avoiding expensive and inflexible process control technology.
