Creating a green future for developing countries
TRINE is building a financing model for solar installations in developing countries.
Energy poverty is a critical issue for the development of remote communities in emerging countries. Today, energy comes from costly, health-hazardous fuels like kerosene and diesel. Using crowd investing TRINE helps people to support solar energy projects, while also delivering a return on investment. The financing will initially be done via crowdfunding to be developed into more standard commercial terms at a later stage.
The team is a mix of experienced solar industry people and entrepreneurs. The company is based at the Incubator at Chalmers University, Gothenburg.
TRINE is part of the Climate-KIC Alumni Start-up Portfolio.
